We arrived at the office and waited for a while
Then they called my name and handed us a file
You can go down the hall to the room on the right

He came right in with the nurse by his side
No time to run away down the hall and try to hide

Listened to my chest and did a throat swab
He said just to be safe, it would be best 
If you go to the lab for a quick blood test

These things happen at the doctor when you are sick

The results from the tests from the lab came back 
We had an idea but now it is fact 
You have strep throat and a double ear infection
But you'll start to feel better after the injection
You don't have a virus, bacteria is the villain
You'll get a quick shot and don’t forget amoxicillin

The needle looked huge and as it got close
I got real nervous and was white as a ghost
I closed my eyes and she counted to three
Waiting for the pain like a sting from a bee
Not one bee but the whole entire hive
There's a good chance I won't make it out alive
Just like that the nurse said you're done
Waiting for three but she did it on the one
It went so fast and it really didn't hurt
I kept my cool and didn't go berserk

So I went to the doctor to see what I had
Yes I got a shot but it really wasn't bad
Now I feel better in a way I am glad
For my shot from the doctor that wasn't so bad
